The Waverley Library service in Bondi Junction could be improved in areas of aesthetics, especially in the field of information and research gathering. Waverley library should employ the use of the coming electronic TOC (table of contents) program inside its research access points very carefully, as there is not nearly a large enough number of computers to support the incoming workload as Waverley Library aims to balance its electronic and physical/hard resources to 50:50. As we know Waverley library needs to calibrate the number of personal computers it has available for use, or, await the integration of the smart boards that are currently in the loop.

 http://computersinlibraries.infotoday.com/2016/ This site offers a wide range of digital initiatives forthcoming in libraries inside the United States, and subsequently, puts the Waverley local initiatives to shame with the depth and breadth of encouragement in forming closer links to managing information.

Children's:

Inside this sector of the library, we must look beyond the aesthetics and delve back into what makes learning intriguing and what stirs curiosity. If I could personally make one recommendation to the status of the children's learning space in Waverley Library, it would be that their seems to be a staffing disconnect. Waverley Library has a body of workers who do their job extremely well in hindsight, however not a single day I have been there have I experienced a full looking children's space. Parents attending to their children's everyday running, yes. Librarians acting like day care workers, yes. However their is no palpable engagement going on in terms of the number of staff that can update reading styles according to actual hard cultural and academic pedagogy

MERGE LIBRARY SPACES NOW!!

Local studies:

The locale of Waverley library brings the imagination alive when  thinking about possible cosmetic changes that could ground the library as one of our major future heritage sites or icons. If proposals for extensions and renovations are put forward to grow Waverley library I would suggest we place more emphasis on local history by changing the library's façade to suit.

Take Vienna for example, inside the Austrian national library.

Evaluation

The Web 2.0 theme is about to hit Waverley Library like some sort of pre-coordinate firestorm!!

Information/Reference:

Waverley Library is bound to the idea of Web 2.0 as the definition stands in its most basic of parameters. However, with its limitation of < 30 personal computers this may be hard to recognize from the beginning and the library has in fact balanced this feature by merging new technology with existing library spaces.

Direct access to the internet, smart-boards, discussions, 'social' catalogues and confidence in using computers and devices have positive impact on a person's skill to participate fully in the society in which they live. Technology enthusiasts, coders and programmers will be given options to try new products through a tech loans initiative that will in turn drive curiosity or opinions about the library through the social media wave.

In addition Waverley Library is also motioning for the new Massively Open Online Course hosting (MOOC) which will cradle a huge potential for personal independence and correspondence across the board

Increasing acceptance of personal-service offers the library opportunity to move some systems and procedures online and make it easier for customers to interact with the Library and access services and resources they want and need.

Potential efficiencies include automated services reducing the need for staff intervention, digital verification and social media over print resources, and an improved library website for meaningful access to library information.

 Local Studies;

The council is doing lots of work to ensure that the community engage at high functioning within the  Waverley library community especially, as they seek to both strengthen and embody their collection.
In a new social dimension, the library wants to assume a mixture of professional management as well as have great readers and clients alike looking for books to personally imprint in the collection in an effort to teach and expand on the fringe, underground cultures that should ultimately bridge the gap that current CDP(collection development policy) cant. This could represent a more metaphorical movement in the library, that is readers and members can physically review the meat of the collection in a way, by affecting titles inside any one other particular collection -- generating a living, breathing mood into the collection shelves.

Children's;

The children of the surrounding community in Waverley library are in high priority in terms of their journey within the positive correlation with the Waverley Together 3 council plan aimed at cultural change. The web 2.0 format has a distinct feature of a disconnect from the electronic world when children need to learn away from the computer or tablet screen. Waverley library encourages small children to describe in their own words what books are about aloud to their friends/peer groups in a learning group. This, considered could be analogous to the child scrawling out a brief summary about a book on an ipad as he/she is learning to read.

Me and Social Media!

Facebook

I personally have a penchant for Facebook because of its streamline features and newsfeeds.
Facebook was an initiative exploited by Mark Zuckerberg; Harvard graduate.

Facebook offers a live social platform in which subscribers can share and receive real-time information about each others lives, as well as IM (instant message) friends, peers or colleagues in a closer friend network.

Conceptually, I think that Facebook is by far a more creative sandbox from which users can add photos/videos, and build up a running theme to display about their lives. This means that Facebook can push society away from the comfort behind the computer to start organizing events and invitations targeted at certain myriad personalities.

Celebrities have also become Facebook literate by being attracted to the implosion of activity it creates. Celebs might feel a duty to Facebook by describing things that have happened recently in proportion to their online fans.

Apart from individuals' profiles there are groups, and, of course community pages that may or may not be farcical in nature to browse and enjoy.
All this inside those trademark blue and white templates.
